Ciao
My passion for cycling started when I lived in Florence, Italy as teenager in the 1970's. I raced in the teen leagues there for a couple of seasons before my family moved back to the States, at which point I stopped riding until after I finished college. At that point I rediscovered the sport and bought an Eddy Merckx frame and fitted it with the old Campy parts from the racing bike I had outgrown. Eventually I stopped riding again, but once again resumed a couple of years ago. I'm excited to have discovered this forum because I devote a lot of time to trying to keep my now-vintage bike in good working order, and I need all the help I can get!

Welcome. I have found folks here to be knowledgeable and helpful. You might want to take a look at the Classic and Vintage sub-forum - might be right up your alley. Good luck.

Welcome to Bike Forums. Do you have a photo of that Merckx?
