Crank compatability
enclosed is a picture of a crank arm, I looked for compatibility and found a document. If my crank is is in a common list, with the other cranks also fit?
I need a shorter crank arm.

They don't sell crank arms separately. You are better off just buying a complete crankset with the proper length arms. In terms of the bottom bracket, any Shimano 24mm spindle crankset will work, but bottom brackets are cheap and its probably best to start with a new one.

The backside of the drive side crank should have the exact crank set that is. This looks like the left side arm and it is compatible with several types of crank sets shimano sells.
More than likely most any 2 piece shimano crank set for a road bike will work.
Yes, but again you'll notice that arm goes on several other models that aren't in that common list. So make sure your crankset is the model you think it is. Check the right arm for single model number.
As always, I'm assuming it's a road bike. What is it on actually?

So did the drive side crank provide you with the actual crankset number? You might can google on that using "Shimano FC-whateverTheNumberIS" and find some places still selling them and maybe in the length you want. Otherwise I'd think Rans Bike would answer some questions if you contact them.
If you do get a new crankset, it's generally a good time to replace the BB whether needed or not. But if you don't have a lot of miles on it and the bike is not too old, you might skip that.
