Campy 10 speed chain with 11 speed chainrings?
I have a Campy 10 speed cassette and chain. Any reason I can't run the chain with an 11 speed Athena crankset/chainrings?
Normally, I wouldn't think twice using newer rings with older chain (I'd assume new chain with old rings may not work), but the rings say "11 speed only" on them.
Thanks.

People use wider chains on 10s and 11s systems all the time. The only drawback, is that being wider, the chain is slightly more likely to touch and rub the larger adjacent sprocket.
This is most pronounced when using the inner ring with the outer half of the cassette, but can also make trim more critical throughout the range.

Thanks. Yeah, I won't have issues with the cog spacing because the cassette is 10 speed - same as the chain.
Like I said, I wouldn't anticipate having a wider 10 speed chain on an 11 speed chainring would be an issue, except for the fact that the ring say "11 speed only".
