Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

What kind of car rims on the left?
Had a set of 15x9 Longchamp XR4's about ten+ years back...I miss those wheels

It's funny...I've had swapped Honda's, 240Z, 510, MK1 Scirocco, multiple air cooled 911's (modified and stock)....I had some of the best times with my simple stock (gutless) NA Miata on coilovers.

Agreed. I had a 91' with just a set of koni's, HR race springs, HD Harddog rollbar and SSR Comps -- By far the best and most fun driving car i've ever owned

Ehh I've driven them, my ex had one. Besides their cheapness, the only thing going for it is its handling and cornering due to its small wheelbase and that's pretty much it. #chickcar

You guys don't know fun until you've had a built STI that just powers through everything because AWD.

Miatas are the new integras.

Have you seen what happens when you crash and the bar end slams into your leg?

Seriously? No, I don't have any shift levers, etc. to cover. There's just no practical purposes for me on this bike, and yes I do have end plugs.

Absolutely love some Longchamps.
Those are actually Centerline Autodrags in the pic. I wanted SSR Mk1 for it but came across the centerlines first. Bought a set of MKi that are now just sitting on the shelf because I like the centerlines better

bar tape isnt for covering shift levers, its purpose is to improve the grip and comfort on the handlebars.

I'm going to stop wearing pants because I don't have any offensive swastika tattoos on my ass to cover up.

No kidding. Another purpose is to smooth the transition to hoods and cover fasteners. Again, I have no need for the additional grips on this bike. The majority of my time spent on this bike I am wearing gloves with, you guessed it...grips. No need to improve grip if you already have it.

Additionally, some bar tapes even provide less grip in certain conditions. For example, Fizik Microtex is absolutely awful in wet conditions.
