Week 2 and did my longest ride...

Hi all 😊. I pushed myself today and did 14 miles! In the past week since I got the bike the most I’ve done is 10.5. I definitely felt it today once I was heading back home and around mile 11. I’ve taken it easy just resting and took a nap as it did tire me out but I’m proud of myself! Just wanted to share my accomplishment as a newbie.

dilly dilly my man and congratz!! We have all been there. I am in year three of riding myself! My first few rides were about 5-10 miles long with a speed of about 10mph avg. Keep at it my man, and you'll be amazed where you end up sooner than you realize!!

Yesterday I did a 14mile recovery ride...that was longer and faster than the first 6months I was on a bike!

Where you from partner? What time of weather you getting in your area now? IS family good and safe??

According to my chart, in 15 weeks you will be riding 1111 miles a day. If you keep this up

Cool to read how everyone has progressed! I’m in the south east so plenty of sun ☀️ around here.

Congrats and keep up the good work. Remember though, you will hit some sort of limit where you will have to either stay at or work to bust through. And, things will ebb and flow, so do what you need to keep things fresh, and find some other activities to do on days when you are off your bike. Calisthenics, stretching, martial arts/boxing/jiu jitsu, Yoga, weights, swimming, jogging, or even walking will work you body in different ways than cycling.
