Well look there!
Two horses of a different color! Very cool.
Now that I’ve gotten used to the Campagnolo Ergo shifters-they’re kind of fun.
This is my first Bianchi ... factory build quality and finish is very good- but Campagnolo parts seem rather expensive.
Have you posted a pic. of the Litespeed?

a pump peg. I guess it's a sports tourer. Very practical bike, and it moves along the road very nicely! Here's a photo of the Litespeed (made in Tenessee, USA). High Five from New York!

Hi i just bought my first bianchi today and would be super happy to see someone help me identify the year. I actually found in an old catalogue the nuovo racing 84 - which looks very similar. But I'm not sure the piaggo 'sticker' is not visible. Further I would be super glad if someone feels ok to point out what I would need to upgrade or fix on the bike from your perspective. As you might tell I'm pretty new to the hole vintage racing bike universe. Thx so much in advance happy to provide more pics floopi
The bicycle has been extensively modified with replacement saddle, wheels, rear derailleur, pedals, brake levers and possibly brake calipers. It also appears to be a repaint with new decals. Bringing it back to OEM spec would be an expensive proposition, far more than the bicycle would be worth. If you're happy with the bicycle, enjoy it as it is. Change only what you need to make it a more enjoyable experience.
Picture assist...

All original campy but not record, mid level stuff. Found on CL for $200 but after so many hits, seller asked for $300. Seeing in person I felt it was still a great buy and had been on my wishlist for years.
Bought it and took her on a quick 15miler, very happy with ride quality but I live in a hilly area so I purchased a new campagnolo groupset for her, the potenza. Havent had the heart to tear into this beauty yet and am debating on weather I should ever.
I can ride the hills here with that gearing, but most of them are pretty short. And you want to ride it.

what does the tubing decal say? I don’t think it is a Megatube but maybe a mega pro.

Hi Bianchigirll - actually it looks like a Grizzly Team frameset from late 90's - front badge is different from the one in the 1997 catalogue so maybe 98/99? The rest of the bike is a recent rebuild.

I've been ignoring my Trofeo for quite some time when it comes to cleaning, maintaining, upgrading so i started by tossing the old Schwalbe tires and throwing on a new Prologo saddle. The turbo didn't quite fit the look of a modern vintage build. Im scouring the interwebs this weekend for the perfect tires.

23's?!? They still make those?
and forget trying to wedge those on carbon wheels...I know all too well too
this guy tried mounting vitt corsa's with plastic levers and chipped the wheels, so I purchased and fixed it with some epoxy

One of my two weims decided to join in.
Inspired my malcala622's 5/27 photos, I decided to do an homage. Here's just a couple of my Bianchi's, also with a grey dog. My '09(?) San Jose, my '96 and '99 San Remo, and my Sport SX fresh from repaint in a new colorway with new decals; still waiting for my new brake cables and seatpost to arrive, but all the original sakae and shimano golden arrow components are being redone in Campy.

Does anyone here own a Selle Italia Turbo saddle? Not super turbo or Mundialita. I can't seem to find a picture of a celeste turbo.

1977 Campione del Mondo CX
I just picked up this Bianchi yesterday. The guy I bought it from said he thought it was a 1980 bike but didn’t sound confident. I couldn’t find a serial number. The back of the crank arms are 1976. The front sticker brings up the CX when I google it but not much info. I’m kind of curious about the 2 numbers. The 170 is for the Strada but 2.8 or 28? Hmm... thoughts?
