198X Peugeot PB18?
I just picked up a 198X Peugeot PB18 this week for $100. All original and was stored away for most of its life.
I'm not too sure what year it is, and cant find much in the brochures. Maybe it was a Canadian Model? Serial # 7F57227
Can anyone tell me more about it? What it's worth?
The specs from what I can tell:
Frame:
Reynolds 501 Butted Tubes
Fork/Headset:
Chrome Fork / Stronglight headset
Crankset/Bottom Bracket:
Nervar crankset / BB unsure
Pedals:
Sakae SP-153 with Christophe cages and leather straps
Drivetrain:
Freewheel unsure? / Sachs Huret FD / Sachs Huret RD / Sachs Shifters
Handlebars/Stem:
Philippe Atax Franco Italia D352 / Stock stem
Saddle/Seatpost:
Vetta White Leather / Kalloy Flutted seatpost 26.6mm
Brakes:
Weinmann Sloted levers w/ white hoods / Weinmann 605 sidepull Calipers
Front Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Rigida Black Anodized (sticker missing) / Suzue Sealed Hub / Michelin Select
Rear Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Rigida Black Anodized (sticker missing) / Suzue Sealed Hub / Michelin Select

Price varies lots based on location, but you did great for $100! I just bought a similar vintage PH10LE with a lower grade tubing (HLE) and 27" wheels for $175, just because I love the iconic Peugeot Rainbow color scheme.
I would think you could get $200 instantly, and a bit more if you're in a city or college town with a decent cycling culture.

Really looks like an '88 Nice with a european build instead of Japanese. The fork is the main difference.

Yea, the bike prices are going wild where I am located. I'm seeing old beat up no name bikes going for 300-400+.

The serial number is from the Canadian frame manufacturer Groupe Procycle. The year of frame manufacture is the first digit of the serial number, 7=1987 and month F=June. A 1987 model year.
