Newb, looking for a cycle computer.
I’m new to biking and the forum. I just got a Giant Rapid 3 yesterday (put 2 mi. on the bike riding home!), which I’ve been told is pretty much a flat-bar road bike, so I hope I’m not shunned in this forum!
Anyway, I’m looking for a good cycle computer <$75. The Cateye wireless gets pretty good reviews on Amazon, and my LBS said that they’ve never had complaints from customers. Any other suggestions out there?

Your bike is a Hybrid, not a Road. There is a forum dedicated for Hybrid riders/owners, you'll likely find more applicable topics and discussions there.
Cateye's are fine.
I'm a huge fan of my Garmin w/ Cadence sensor though.
I'd highly recommend you get cadence, I assume you're new-ish to cycling. Learning to constantly switch gears in order to maintain a 90ish cadence (instead of bogging down and muscling it along with it got tough) did wonders for my skill and endurance on the bike.

The basics; speed, trip odometer, elapsed time, avg speed. I think they all pretty much have these. I ask because I've heard mixed reviews about wireless computers in general. I am new; haven't thought about cadence, but if its something that'll become useful as I gain experience then I'll consider it.
