Retirement!
After 33 years in the semiconductor industry, I've finally hit the finish line. I've been joking with @rccardr that he's my hero and I hate him - he's been retired since I've known him, and shows up to cycling events all over the country - damn I've been jealous! Doc, I don't hate you anymore

Congratulations! The current plan here is for me to pull the pin by the end of the year - and my wife is down to working two mornings a week at her job, so that will be a whole new world!

I retired April ‘22. Best decision I ever made. I’m not sure how I manage to keep busy during the week, but I do and do not work, even part time. I do ride 2-3 days, lap swim 3 days, kayak one day. Plus all kinds of other crap.

Congrats.... I've been exploring the possibility. 38 years in Aerospace may be enough. My head has not been on the job but more on this forum or where to ride next. Retirement is around the corner for me. My son is asking me about real estate in Eugene, OR. Missed buying a place in Florence, OR last year. Hopefully, in two years I may be able to get a place with the kid in Eugene then i'll have connection with the region rich in bike culture.
