I have: 1987-ish Schwinn Voyageur, 58cm, greenish-dark tealish in color. 18 speed. Condition is fair, working, can use tuneup/overhaul. Has fenders, old generator (bottle type against wheel) and lights front and back, rear rack. New Kenda cheap tires, 27" x 1.25". Frame shows considerable use, scratches, some very minor surface rust in some scratches. I was planning on using it as my rain bike but its a little too big for me.

I seek: similar bike but in 56cm. I can go down as much as 53.3cm but i prefer 56cm. I could do a trade of just frames but I'd prefer to trade complete bikes with someone local in Los Angeles area.

I'd consider non-touring, complete road bikes if they are 56cm but only if they have 170mm triple cranks (that's all i use.)

Would also consider trade with someone local for front and rear modern high quality racks ie Tubus for one of my other bikes.

This is a long shot, but I have a 1985 trek 620( the one with super long chainstays), measures 64cmx58cm. Looking for a similar quality touring/cross frame(canti only) with at least a 62cm top tube. Anywhere from 64-68cm st. Paint is chipped here and there, but straight frame and good condition. Anyone? :-D

I have a Trek Mountain Track 820 from the early to mid 90's. It was tagged as an 18" but seems much smaller to me. It has Shimano cantilever brakes with Origin8 levers and Yeti lock-on grips. I have Shimano Deore Hollowtech canks with WTB flat pedals and toe clips. The current configuration is full fenders and the original flat bar that it came with. It is set up as 42x16 with basic Bontrager rims and formula hubs. I have cheap Chinese slick tires on it. There is a slightly better, mismatched set of wheels and the Maxxis Holy Roller tires that can be swapped out but the fenders and Holy Rollers do not fit together on the bike. I can also put the drop bars back on if you would like but the the levers shown in the picture are ineffective with the cantilever brakes. We can trade frames, the complete bike or something somewhere in between. If you're interested, message me and I can send more, detailed pictures and also provide specific measurements if you need them.



I need something a bit lager as you might guess by the height on the stem and seat post. I am looking for either road bike or a mountain bike that can be set up as a tourer/commuter. Steel frame is preferred but I will consider aluminum. Brand and aesthetics are not as important as fit. I need a frame in the 54-56cm range.

Red, white, and green color scheme. White portion slightly yellowed due to lack of sunlight.
Almost NOS condition. Bike only has been ridden a handful of times (one season or less) and stored ever since.
There is some worn paint and a couple of scratches due to "shop wear". Decals are near flawless.
This frame was given to me by a bike collector friend which was too big for him so I don't know the entire history of it. I believe he got it at an older shop with lots of old forgotten inventory.
I was going to build it up but it's really a little too small for me.

I would like to trade it for a comparable steel late '70's-'80's road, sport touring, or touring frame preferably in good shape with 126mm rear spread for 6/7spd freewheel hub.
"Bad" shape cosmetically probably ok (I might powdercoat it), "Fenderable" frame preferred.
58cm minimum - 60cm is ok, too.

No frames to trade, or nothing to trade? I have some frames that might be suitable, but would need a 3 way trade, as I can't use the OP's frame. It is possible that wheels or components might work out.

I'm interested in trading this guy for a full bike. I think the sante group belongs on it and I don't want to part it out. Pictures below...drive side chain stay paint is a bit rough and a few chips here and there (I'd give paint a 6/10 in some places, 9/10 in others but straight, true and an excellent set with Columbus sl. It is seat tube 61cm c-c, looking for something more 58-59cm. I'd prefer more vintage, maybe 70s or 60s, touring bike or road bike with a similar level of shimano/campagnolo (nuovo preferably)/maybe a px10 in great condition, and comparable tube set. I can ship and receive from the states if that helps any. Let me know what you have. Not really interested in 80s/90s bikes.

To be honest I need another bike like I need a hole in my head so a complete bike is definitely out. I was originally planning on building this frame up as a flat-bar road bike but since I'll be on another one-week furlough from my job this project will be put on hold. I have a set of vintage Phil Wood freewheel hubs I was wanting to build up along with some Campy deraillers and other bits for it but I would prefer a more suitable frame for this project.

I would also take into consideration a 19" hybrid frame ('80's-early '90's). I just hate the thought of this Tempo being holed up in my closet and not enjoyed by someone.

I have a 22.5" 1986 520 Cirrus (one of the two years with the shorter wheelbase) and a 58cm 1995 1220. Both are in really nice shape (some filled-in chips on the 520; the 1220 is mint) and all original (except for tires and a newer right/rear 8-speed RSX brifter on the 1220). I'm looking for the same bikes in the next larger sizes: 24" for the 520 and 60cm for the 1220. Would trade frames only or complete bikes. Will consider similar bikes and some up/down adjustments. Just received another opinion from different local builder after we did some further paint removal.

Cleaned the damaged paint and chrome and happily found clean metal underneath.

I'm keeping it.

Someone almost got an incredibly good deal.
