ISO/For Sale (Parts) Dura Ace FH-7403 hub, 32 hole
I recently acquired the above hub, and it is in flawless condition except for one thing: one of the cones is pitted. Otherwise, the freehub and all other bearing races/seals are intact.
If anyone has a cone for the hub, I'd purchase it, otherwise, I would entertain selling it as is (no ball bearings) for $40 shipped.

I can't help you with a replacement cone. If this were mine, I'd buy a new replacement cone from Wheels Manufacturing.

There is another thread here.
I've had good success in resurrecting minor to mild pitted cones.
https://www.bikeforums.net/bicycle-m...ted-cones.html
A few minutes of work and one could well have those cones as good as new. Perhaps even better than new.
Some photos on the way, and more info in the next couple of days.

I might have one of those, would have to check the part number.
Also Bikewagon on ebay listed some 7400 parts, and at the same time listed some Shimano axle sets. They don't say Dura-ace, but have the long form Shimano part numbers so you could probably look it up with the Shimano part diagram.
Just the stuff actually listed as Dura-ace, including $10 chainrings: https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_ssn...ra-ace&_sop=15

I didn't think to bother looking up the EV document, since they've been spotty for old stuff since Shimano changed their platform, but I did find it; anyone who's interested, the part number for the RH cone is 354 9804, and the LH cone is 354 9805. As far as I can tell, the only difference is the LH cone has a 2mm longer nose.

The long saga is over. After buying a Wheels Manufacturing cone, and being unsatisfied with the fit, I located a donor cone/spacer from another Shimano hub (RS 500?). Its fit/function is a B+. The OLD remains unchanged from the original specification.
The hub is now for sale, complete minus a skewer, though I'll include an old XTR skewer if desired. Lubed the free hub, new bearings and grease. $65 shipped.

wheels manufacturing does not make a cone for the 7400 series. those cones are specific to dura-ace, as they have an extremely long taper and inner shoulder. while others may fit, you'll basically be re-shaping the cup little by little. if you're super desperate, i've found that the shimano tri-color cones are sorta close, but not really.
source: i spent an entire afternoon taking apart several 6400/7400 hyperglide, uniglide, and hyper-uniglide hubs and mixing and matching.

@wschruba - Tough one. Went down the same path. I was offered a broken rear hub with good cones, wish worked out well. I wish you the best of luck. Not likely to find one.
