Drop bar cargo bike

Thinking about a drop bar conversion to my Bike Friday Haul-a-Day. I have yet to meet a flat/mtb bar that I like for any kind of distance. The truly flat ones hurt my wrist and make me feel like my elbows are always splayed, swept bars (like the Soma Clarence I have now) don’t sit well in the hand, and cause me to hunch my shoulders.

The Haul-a-Day is flexible enough on the geometry that the reach won’t be an issue. Any other reason I shouldn’t do this? Seems like a no-brainer from an ergonomics perspective. Already converted my Pugsley to drops and it’s been great.

What's the difference between a basket with drop bars or a handlebar bag with drop bars?
Basket is made with wire or rattan and uses clamps or straps to attach. Handlebar bag is made of canvas or leather, and uses straps or a bracket that hooks under the gooseneck and over the handlebar to attach.
No reason a basket/drop bar setup wouldn't work.

you did not get the frame mounted front basket ?

there, like Brompton, the bars turn, but the basket/bag
is an extension of the frame,

so the bars turn over the load, not with it..
