Getting google ads in the middle of peoples posts

Hi I'm seeing adverts in the middle of the first post on each new page of all threads.

I know getting a red star would block ads.

I don't actually mind the advertising on the side and on the banners but in the middle of peoples posts make me want to download an ad blocker.

Any advice?

(This only started today.)

Hey I'm getting them too...the Index works fine and when I go to a forum that too looks fine but when I click on a post, the screen then almost doubles in width and the ads pop up and cover the right half....
Does anyone look at these post????

I'll check with Tom on this. It is possible that it was an unintentional change due to an update to the forum software which I know has happened in the past.

No changes in software as of now. rollin, drissel, have you made any updates to your software or recent setting changes?

This one is normal, and isn't blocking text. We've done this for a while now in the first posts of a thread for registered members. You can subscribe Titanium and lose the ads entirely, though.

https://www.bikeforums.net/payments.php

There are a couple of other options through Firefox, as well, but you need to be careful on the configuration since a tremendous amount of our interface is graphics driven and some of the ad/script blockers will seriously mess up the render if you configure them wrong.

Thanks Tom.
I'm Ok with some ads since they help pay the bills here.

I get them. I don't mind advertising, of course, but it seems that an ad that blocks the first post in a thread is a problem. If I can't read the first post, the rest of the thread might not make much sense.
