Campagnolo Belt Buckle - anyone have any info on these?

Well, it's bike related...

All I've been able to find out about these buckles are that they're "limited edition" and apparently they came out in 1973. Anyone know any more than that?

I know that folks like to pay more than I would want to for those.

Did you try Googling it? Just put Campagnolo belt buckle in the search and you will find tons of hits. I saw your buckle a dozen times including a completed Ebay sale for $49.00.

Your version and others are all over the place. Suggest you search and choose "images" and you will see what I mean.

I don't recall seeing the oval ones before but I don't suspect they are too rare.

I did, but I couldn't find much more than images and auction listings with limited info. I was hoping for historical info, more than resale value. Haven't been able to come up with much on my own.

It surprises me how much some if this old marketing swag gets on Ebay. Considering this was cheap promotional stuff that the distributors and sales reps original gave away. Its not just bike stuff you see some realy silly prices paid for some of this stuff on Ebay. As for finding detailed information on promotional items there really isn't whole out there.

The nice thing about these is that you can drop your pants faster than with the ShimaNO ones.
