Beefcake 650b thread...

Let's see them peeps!

Hardtail / dually...bring it.

Jamis is really jumping in with both feet. They've been doing 650b longer than many other mfgrs...hope they come out with a Komodo-B some day.

Dakar AMT 650 Pro tough, 6" travel, and under 28#.

Steel is real!

They're doing many 650b bikes, but I don't care about XC stuff in this thread, so the Nemesis, XCT, etc...will not be posted by me.

The Dragon 650 however, is slack and steel. It's a really nice frame and feels more like an AllMountain ride than an XC bike. (FYI...I will comment that the Carbon Nemesis 650 team is only 19.75lbs!!)

Doesn't get much more 'beefcake' than an SB in 650b:

LENZSPORT? Another name? But that Lunchbox looks awesome! DANG, why are they saying you have to be short to ride it, I'm offended! Me and my 26 are gonna fade to black in no time.

^^ He didn't say that exactly. Just saying it's an alternative 'bigger-wheel' experience for short riders for whom 29ers really aren't suited (even though the marketers are trying to jam everyone on them). But frame sizes go out to XL and even XXL, so you aren't left out, Spydey .

Devin Lenz / Lenz Sport has been around a LONG time. I met him at the Schweitzer NORBA Nationals in '05. He's based out of Colorado and was in the gravity scene heavily, then got bit by the 29er bug, where most of his product development has been concentrated in recent years (that and ski-bikes). Real nice guy and he makes a quality product.

An interesting read:

And another week later, on the Continental Divide Trail outside Butte, MT:

(Yes, I'm kinda padding my post count here, but I hope y'all enjoy the bikey pr0n. FWIW, I am loving the 650Bs and the bike in general.)
