Knee pads for the girthy?

I'm trying to push my limits mountain biking, but i worry I'm gonna go down and smash a knee cap or something. But I cant seem to find a decent mountain biking knee pad for tree trunk legs. Any suggestions?

Check out Race Face Ambush. If I remember correctly they run to a 2XL. I have tried the carpenter style before with not much luck. They just fall off or slide around.

their size chart puts the thigh at 20" and calf at 17".. well... my calf is 20" and the thigh is 23.5"

But I like their design. I wonder if the straps will reach anyway
