wholly engaging. one of the best 30 for 30 films.
lemond, the only american champion.
it was also good to see everyone with dt shifters and some with non-aero levers in that '86 tdf. (heh.)

depending on your cable provider (and if you have a cable box), you may have it available 'on demand.'
for xfinity/comcast users, go to ... networks/e/espn/series/30 for 30

La Vie Claire director sportif Paul Kochli did not come off very well, but one of my favorite parts was his quote: "You can suffer as much as you want. If you do the wrong thing at the wrong time, you will never win the race. You cannot compensate for your stupidness [sic] by suffering more. First you must begin to do the right thing at the right moment. That's the art of cycling."
I was disappointed to hear Lemond's comment that he did not get what he was owed from Look--apparently, from his comment after noting that he had uncovered his old contract, $1 per pedal royalty as part of the contract for moving from the Renault Elf team to La Vie Claire. "Not one penny," added his wife Katy. At one point I speculated that he removed the text from his "Bernard Hinault Look" due to his fallout with the Badger (I hate loving that Frenchman!), but now it seems more likely a corporate feud. We all know Greg is no stranger to those! If Hinault was a Badger, does that make LA a rat?
But the thing I find most disappointing about the '86 tour is that god awful black & gold, square Wonder logo that marred most of the back of the jersey throughout some of the stages. Atrocious.

No ESPN here.
I think if you are an Amazon Prime member that it will be streamable starting tomorrow.
The '86 Tour was epic with the battle between the teammates and others on the team.
Maybe that history is why Team Sky left Wiggins home this year. That sure went to plan....

yes, the film showed that la vie claire screwed over lemomd on the look pedal royalty.
had that happened to me, i probably wouldn't have a look bike in my living room (especially while filming).
lemond came off as quite a forgiving gentleman.

even the film's footage of armstrong in the '94 tdf shows him wearing only a cap.
i caught 'the armstrong lie' doc on cable too the other night, which is worth a peek.
