Poles straps. At least with XC, poles straps are a must. Then again, there are no lifts in XC to hang upside down from 🙃

I see no pole straps. Using straps on downhill skiing is a bad idea. I guy I knew wiped out and took a high-speed slide while using pole straps.. While sliding, the pole planted its self, and he suffered a torn pectoral muscle as his arm was jerked backward. I think most straps these days have a safety clip to release the strap from the pole in those situations.

Yeah I suspected as much in downhill. I haven't bought poles in about 15 years. So XC may have quick release features for pole straps too.

The inner thigh is going to look like a baboon’s butt...my last memorable crash, my thighs contacted the front wheel/tire on both inner thighs, riding the top tube, about 25+mph, looked like two rainbows! Kinda awesome!
