Year for this Bianchi?
Howdy, I just picked up this Bianchi Special. I'd love to know what year it is and more about the geometry. At the very least I figure these photos will help add to what's available for others searching. There's precious little info on these Japanese Bianchis. Does anyone know which companies produced them?
Thanks for any light you can shed.

Nice looking Bianchi I love the chrome 'socks'. That looks like an '82

Thanks, Bianchigirll. Yeah, it's not too bad. The rust on the seat lug cleaned off real quick and I've yet to find any dents at all. I'll primer up that lug and buff the rest of the paint to get the sparkle back. I just dyed the saddle and the whole bike looks a million times better. I think I'll throw on a 700c wheelset I've got banging around and some Suntour superbe long reach brakes that have been needing a home.
The derailleurs seem original and both have year code 'Z' for '83. Does that make it an '82' or '83' model? Do they do it like auto manufacturers?

I think you are very close if not right on. Not exactly sure what year mine is but I thought I bought it in '81. My memories aren't always accurate. Your serial # is like mine starting with CS.
