Ritchey road bike value

Hi folks,

My latest refurb assignment from our local co-op is an early 90s Ritchey road bike. Itís a tig welded steel frame with a full Dura Ace 7402 group set. The frame is in very good shape, but the components have rust issues. Almost all the steel and chromed parts have some rust. Donít know how well it will clean up.

For bikes of this level, the policy is to strip them down to the frame, then clean & polish it. After complete bearing service and the wheels trued, itís reassembled with cleaned (and polished components) new SS cables and new housings as needed. The Dura Ace hubs are laced to Mavic Reflex rims with DB Wheelsmith spokes and alloy nipples. The rear has broken spokes/nipples. The brifters are gummed up.

The co-op main market is MTBs, cruisers & city bike. They prefer

to sell complete bikes rather than part them out. Theyíve had a very nice 600 tri color complete group set w/o wheels in the display case thatís been there for a couple of years.

We periodically get better bikes donated, but this one is so rare, no one has an idea of its value. Weíre in the Portland metro area which tends to be a good market. Therefore, Iím looking for inputs. Pix attached.

Thanks & regards,

Van

Don't take less than $800 for the complete bike

You could probably ask for a bit more once it is fully cleaned up and assembled, maybe $1000, since Portland is a pretty hot market
