Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Steal of a deal on Dual Sided Pedal Based Power Meters from Clever Training
Assioma Duo - 649.99

Added the coupon YG561H and got an additional 97.50 off bringing the total down to $555.49.

Hard to beat that for brand new dual sided power meters.

This evening I was on https://www.probikekit.com for the first time. They have some really great deals! Check out the weekly deals. Also, right now, for another 18 hours, or so, spend $175 and get an extra 15% off, max of $50 and free shipping. A set of Campagnolo Zonda wheels, Shimano hub, can be acquired for a total of $290. Campy hub is about $9 less. I have the Zonda wheels in my cart with a couple other things, but I am going to let it be over night. I really, really do not need another set of wheels. I DO NOT NEED WHEELS!

I have had bad experiences with them. They sent me the wrong clip on aero bars, twice!! I had to pay to send them back, which was expensive since they ship from the UK. They reimbursed me for the shipping the first time, but not the second time, I had to dispute through Paypal to get my shipping back, even though it was 100% their fault for sending me the incorrect item. I will never buy from them again for this reason. They just need to get their act together. Not worth the hassle over more professionally run online bike stores.

I've bought from them with no issues. Shipping takes forever. I think it was like 12-14 days if I remember.

I wouldnt buy anything that I had to have perfect. And only when the stuff is dirt cheap. I bought 4 Vittoria Torreno Drys for 100$ with free shipping. That's the kind of thing I would use them for. Deda carbon post for 70$ and a Selle Italia SLR saddle for 85$. They have some great prices and combined with the sales and coupons if ots worth waiting for it's not a bad go to...

I hit the purchase button on the Zonda wheelset and a sweatshirt. $288.50 for the wheels is way less than I have seen elsewhere. I have no problem with the shipping being slow for them. I have purchase quite a bit of stuff from Chain Reaction Cycles and it is always slow, shipping from UK. Any order over $50 usd ships free. I did keep one item that was too small because shipping back was not practical for the cost. I guess one just has to weigh the cost against the chance of something not fitting.

CRC used to have crazy fast shipping to the US, but that was a few years ago. Now it seems like 2 weeks is the norm.

Prolly they're opting to ship via UK postal service, which will hand off to USPS as parcel post, which in turn means the mailman isn't going to bother trying to collect duties.

Seems like shipping times are still reasonable though for coming from the UK. I get my stuff from them in under 2 weeks usually.

Looks like they aren't allowing discount codes with those. It sounds like Assioma didn't want their stuff discounted like that. Anyway, even if you have a code, it won't work on the pedals anymore. Oh well. Was really wanting to snag this discount. Just don't want to spend $650 right now on pedals and the power meter was just a "nicety"...but might have been able to make myself pull the trigger at $550. Guess I'll stick with Shimano standard pedals for now, and grab a power meter later.

You gotta do the work. Lots of 10% coupoons for Clever Training out there -
I found this one within 30 seconds of a google search, added the pedals to the cart and applied the coupon. I am sure it will expire quickly....

Lol definitely willing to do the work, sorry for being a noob. The code didn't say "expired" when I tried it...the page for those pedals explicitly states "this product is ineligible for coupons". Took them at their word. Guess the saying "trust but verify" applies here. Of course, they could just accept the order and then email me saying "Sorry that product isn't eligible for coupons"...we will see I guess. I placed the order. Thanks for the code.

One thing that I had when getting a campy wheelset from overseas (can't remember now who I ordered from) is that i didn't get skewers, though I believe Campy includes these normally. That said, I sent an email to the store and they sent a set out no charge

Yes, I got the wheels last week via USPS. They were boxed well with enough packing material. They spin great and are true. They are nice looking without overstated decals. I have 25 mm road tires on them, but just for the first few rides. They are nice handling and quite stiff. Definitely worth the money at the sale price.

Sidi shoes are on sale at Merlin Cycles. In the past they would not ship to the US, but that doesn't seem to be the case now.

More training related but this forum gets a lot more traffic.

Wahoo Kickr Headwind smart fan on sale @ Amazon for $199.99 with free shipping and returns. Probably get it for the same price in the upcoming Nov. sales but with free returns you decide you don't like it you can return at no charge using their pre-paid label.
