Speedometer bouncing

The speedometer on my cateye wireless is bouncing back and forth 4 to 5 mph swing and the odmeter is not acurate. sensor location seems ok. Is the battery getting weak? I replaced them less than a year ago.

Bikes: "Hildy", a Novara Randonee touring bike; a 16-speed Bike Friday Tikit; and a Specialized Stumpjumper frame-based built-up MTB, now serving as the kid-carrier, grocery-getter.

Did you replace the battery in the sensor as well as the computer?
