Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bike with sugar cane.

Across the road from the cane field is the bayou where they grow alligators, crawfish, turtles, and other assorted tasty critters.

How about grapes? Unfortunately they weren't producing at this time. The bikes a 1990 Ricardo Pinnacle.

Bit late in the year for many parts of the country. In California we're about to start growing green stuff in the hills (No, not pot).

It's a cornfield though late in the season and it even has water in the image. Thanks Jonesy, now I'm not so depressed. Thoughtful you are.

Whats with this latest string of "pictures of your bike near *****"? Why would a person take pictures of their bike when out riding? It's a piece of equipment. It's like taking pictures of your hammer when you're building a fence.

In our area, what we had could more properly be called "cornless" fields. Darn drought.

Yeah, I'm not real big on getting off my bike to snap a picture of my bike with something behind it either. To each his own I guess.

It's an old Metamucil container with the label torn off, the lid colored in with texta and biking stickers so people don't recognize it
On longer rides by myself in fits my phone, car keys, money, A few tools and tube and levers.
