14.5 miles!
Not a huge number for a lot of people here. But my longest ride in several years. Legs felt strong all the out and back!

My best has been 14 miles on a very hot day last year. Had total knee replacement in March and my best so far this year has been 12 miles. I know I can do more it is just a mind issue. Keep up the miles.

A lot for some is a warmup for others. IT DOESN'T MATTER!!!! Great job. Glad it felt so good. Can't wait to hear about your first 20!

Congrats, it's definitely an accomplishment.
I remember my first 16 mile ride. I was on a junk bike and it took me forever. I'm 1 year in since starting last year at the beginning of August. Now 15-20 is routine on the bike trails as I'm only looking for 1-1.5 hour exercise. I have nothing but rollercoaster hills so only 10 miles is typical on the road, but I've ridden up to 20 on the road (that's about 2-2.5 hours on the road for me.)
I don't ride longer distances than that often since I'm time limited most of the time. I do get some 20+ in now and then when my wife is off work on the weekends (this weekend I'm planning 36 miles at a trail I have been wanting to visit on a rare weekend off for Wifey.) It won't be long and you'll be riding your first 20, 25, 30 mile ride. If you're not time crunched like I am, the distances will probably get longer and longer. This cycling is addictive. I just found myself this year starting to ride longer distances but less often and my main goal is daily exercise, so I cut it back down since I don't want to leave the kids home alone all evening long.
Now if it would quit raining every evening....

Good job!
What matters are your goals and your miles and your legs.
I remember when that distance was my long ride. There's always someone faster or with more distance.
Rides hadn't gotten much longer than 15 miles for me when non-riding relatives started saying I was crazy. They still say it now on rides I consider "short". Funny how your perspective on what a long ride is changes.

I remember my first 15 mile ride, it was a one way trip to the grocery store at the time, I kept thinking I would never make it. Now I do it at least twice a week and feel better and faster each time.
