Pedicab/Rickshaw information
Sorry in advance if this is posted in the wrong forum. Yesterday I picked this gem up:
I plan on using it as part of my wedding in October. Anyway, it is a weird hodge-podge of features (single-speed, rod brakes, 24" wheels and a smaller frame, stiff(ish) springs in back). I haven't got time to look over it yet, but I'm wondering if anyone has information on this model or can direct me to a better spot to find out more. I'm looking to, at least, rebuild the mechanicals prior to the wedding. (It is somehow rust free so I don't believe I'll need to do anything cosmetic). Any help would be appreciated.

I used to see cheap pedicabs new on Ebay, but I don't think they were rod-brake versions. Definitely want to avoid any hilly place due to brake issues.

Yup most likely India. What kind of parts are you going to need? Some of the old Raleigh rod brake bits and pieces should fit. I have seen a couple of these over the years but they are an oddity.

If they are the standard rod brakes some Kool stop pads (if they will fit). I wouldn't worry too much about getting high end tires unless you plan to ride it a lot. Just get new rubber on it. Clean it up, lube and decorate.
