Yeah, when they appraised they considered everything on the bike as well. The first offer was a LOT lower than that. I wasn't looking to gain a lot of money, I just wanted another bike. The biggest issue was how negligent their client was. She was on the phone and wasn't supposed to turn when she did. There were to many witnesses (even other motorists) that saw the entire thing. She honestly didn't stop, she ran completely over the bike. She tacoed both wheels too.

This is my Caad9, my first road bike ever. I've had it for 2 years but only recently have spent time learning about it and setting it up properly and to fit me. The selle SMP seat, seat stem and compact handlebar were all the recent changes. I've done a bit of maintenance on it as well. New drive train, new crank bearings, new cheap rear wheel and new brake pads.
After all this slow piece meal work it's finally setup well. I took her out for a quick 10 mile bike ride today. The handlebars made a huge difference! Totally different bike.
Now that it’s setup properly, I was able to get lower on the bike as well as in the drops. Actually I got in the drops and I was able to keep pedaling effectively. I hit 36 mph on a few sections of the ride today. FREAKIN’ AWESOME!

Hi everyone! New member here and also a happy owner of a 2015 Caad10 105.
I had a question for the Caad experts here who may be able to help me out. I know for my bike (2015 Caad10 105), the fork is called a 'SPEED SAVE Full Carbon, 1-1/8" to 1-1/4" tapered' according to the spec sheet, but I would like to find out specifically what the steerer tube on the fork is made of (i.e. does this bike have a carbon fork with an alloy steerer tube, or does 'full carbon' mean the steerer tube is carbon as well?).

Mine is a 2014 Caad 10 ultegra, it has a full carbon fork meaning steerer tube as well, yours should be no different but don't quote me on that, pretty sure though.

Ah, many thanks fizzle and fastk9dad - much appreciated. I want to make sure I have torqued my stem bolts and SI cap more precisely now that I know they are clamping on carbon. I swapped the stem but there are no torque specs on it - I'm assuming between 5-7nm?

Recently picked up this CAAD3 Saeco frame, planning to restore it. Unfortunately there's a lot of oxidation under the paint, so it needs to be stripped. Haven't been able to find the original decals, but found some CAAD4 Saeco decals. I'm going to put campagnolo components on it to keep with the Team Edition theme.

So what's the deal with the new 12's? Haven't heard or read much about them doesn't seem like there are many reviews on them yet just a few short articles but no real user reviews. Are they even available yet or is it too early to tell if they will be so called future classics? Anyone who owns one care to chime in?

Hey everyone, just had my brand new 2015 CAAD10 delivered to the house and have been assembling it out in the garage. It was in several pieces in the box and this is my first time working on a high end bike (done plenty of motorcycle wrenching) so I don't want to mess anything up. I have a cycling specific torque wrench on the way and I won't torque anything down tight until it arrives, but I was wondering what the torque value is for the top cap. I had to loosen it to square the stem since it was off to the side when I pulled the bike out of the box. I see the stem bolt values stamped on the stem, but not the top cap. Since it's a carbon fork I want to get it right. Is there a place where I can find the torque values for the entire bike? Google hasn't been too helpful.

The SI cranks that come equipped on the 2016 caad 12 105, would you be able to swap out the fsa chain rings for a 53/39 spider ring?

Yes. You have to remove the spider along with the chain FSA chain rings. To remove the spider you need Cannonade tool KT012/. This "socket" fits the lockring that holds the spider (and the new spider ring) on the crank. You could probably use a punch and a hammer to remove the locking but you really need the tool to torque the lockring when reinstalling it.

Ok so bad news, I was in the market for a caad 12 105 in 50cm none of the shops near me had one, they all checked with cannondale seems like no more will be getting produced until next years colorways in my size in the 105 version. Didn't check the Disc but not interested either. Caad10 ultegra 50cm until June/July. Unless you can find one in store at a LBS you're **** out of luck....
Is it they didn't make enough? Is it usually bone dry around this time of the year? Maybe I waited too long? What's the deal?
So the good news is I opted out for a great deal on a 2015 super six evo. It was originally Ultegra but LBS worked within my price ranged and swapped out ultegra for 105 and let me keep the SI crank. I got it for about the price of a 2016 caad12 105.
Ok so bad news, I was in the market for a caad 12 105 in 50cm none of the shops near me had one, they all checked with cannondale seems like no more will be getting produced until next years colorways in my size in the 105 version. Didn't check the Disc but not interested either. Caad10 ultegra 50cm until June/July. Unless you can find one in store at a LBS you're **** out of luck....

2016 Caad12 Red size 54. Rider 177lbs. Have 3 rides on it...a 20, 25, and a 75 miler... Added HED Ardennes wheelset, 25mm GP4000s II's and Save Carbon Seatpost. Rides really nice...smooth...feels fast. Seat is real hard. Definitely bigger than my CAAD10 54. Feels big...but not too big. Having what I think is a serious problem with chain rub on the front derailleur when in big/big...and actually the 3 largest gears in the back. Can't use small small either. The rubbing is hitting about 1/2 of the pedal stroke under moderate to heavy load...really annoying and other riders around me can hear it. I don't know if the frame is flexing or the crank, chainring, defect, whatever...but I'm starting to dislike the bike. Back to LBS for review again. Thinking I made a mistake with this bike...

Edit: or swap your 52 chainring for a 46t chainring to match you other bike. I say keep the 52 and start doing some squats everyday.
