Anyone using Schwalbe Marathon Plus HS440 2014 for Bike Touring in 26in and 700c???

Anyone using Schwalbe Marathon Plus HS440 2014 for Bike Touring in 26in and 700c???
I am looking for input on Schwalbe Marathon Plus HS440 2014 not Marathon Plus HS348 2013
and I know they have awesome flatproof protection and heavy 26in 980gm 700c 660gm
and how are the sidewalls and bead to mount and unmount from Rims and my Rear Rim is
Sun-Ringle Rhyno XL 26in 36h 29.2mm wide 2013 and my Front Rim Velocity Cliffhangers 26in 36h 28mm wide 2013

Surly LHT 26in 52cm 2008 and I was using Schwalbe Tour Plus hs404 26x1.75
and I did not like the knobys on Schwalbe Tour Plus and as for the Continental
Touring Plus 26x1.75 a try in Southern California to how they hold up as flatproof
on glass and goathead thorns
I do hear that people on my Facebook Expedition Bicycle Touring groups have gotting flat tire using Schwalbe Tires

I bet they will be fantastic tires. From what I have read and heard, goatheads can get thru most anything. If they puncture a tire, just fix it and keep going.

At 900g each, I'm not sure that I would describe them as fantastic. Puncture resistant yes, but you're right, just fix it and keep going.

Agreed. Fantastic, relative to what else he could get for puncture resistance. Those things are nearing in on solid tire construction.

Schwalbe marathon tour plus tires hs404 26x1.75 980gm
I am using Continental Touring Plus tires 26X1.75 900gm on my
Surly LHT 26in 2008
I also like to Research on Bike Touring gear before I buy a Tire like Schwalbe Marathon Plus hs440 tire 26X1.75 and I have read all about Schwalbe Marathon Plus hs348 tire on this Bikeforum and I am looking for fresh input on Schwalbe marathon plus hs440 tires!
as for flatproof tires are not 100% flatproof tires! and I have a friend on Facebook using Schwalbe marathon tour plus hs404 tires 26x1.75 or 2.0 on the Southern Tier on AZ/NM state line got a flat tire on his rear tire by metal from a truck tire

Those are the tires on my bike these days. They are indeed "nearing solid tire construction"! But I live in the mountains so most of my power is fighting gravity anyway, and then going downhill the added rolling resistance saves wear on rims and brake pads!
And yes they are not 100% flat proof! I had a slow leak from some bit of wire. I ride on a lot of debris-strewn roads, so I think the extra protection is worth it.

Right now I am using Contineltal Touring Plus Tires 26X1.75 on my Surly LHT
and I hope they hold up good as Flatproof tires in Southern California on the Roads
and I have seen broken glass in a bike lane in Vista, CA near a CA CRV recycling center
and we have goathead thorns too
and when I have $110.00 I am getting the Schwalbe Marathon Plus hs440 tire 26X1.75

6000km fully loaded (35kg) on mines without a single flat (26 x 1.5)
