Tucson Loop

Rode the Chuck Huckleberry Loop Friday. Alltrails lists it as a 54 mi loop. With my usual inefficiency it was 58 mi for me. Good weather, great sightseeing.

Nice shot of that crane. I don't think it likes you close to the nest though.

Rode through San Fernando Valley. Love riding by this house which has some of the largest and longest cacti collections. Anyone know what the round cactus is called?

Barrel cactus. I think I've been there but I can't remember where it is.

I had to ensure my grandson had the coolest bike in the neighborhood. It's actually a nice one.

Nice day for a ride along our Riverfront Trail; on my way home I stopped for a sandwich and beer at a local brewpub. There were two tables of seniors nearby, and a couple of them asked me about my Katy Trail jersey. They were amazed that I'd already ridden 30+ miles. It turns out that at 75, I was older than any of them. The beer was really good.

Headed out on a fund raiser, but due to Covid it was solo since the event was virtual.

Here's what I did today:
75 miles, 15.8mph average, 2400 calories and 1600' of climbing over 6 hours with a few breaks to refill my water bottles and some nourishment.

I raised $5,126, and our team raised $51,809 in total.

In total, Cycle for Survival raised $23,603,435 this years and over $285,000,000 since 2007.
