Chocolate almond milk is surprisingly tasty. Much better than I thought it would be.
I like to blend it with a banana and hemp protein powder. Absolutely ****s on regular protein powder, which leaves me feeling bloated and groggy.

Whichever one Costco sells. Might be a subsidiary of Muscle Milk, it's one of those name brands.
Yeah, they put a lot of stuff in there that's overkill. I usually feel groggy and my head feels fuzzy when I drink that stuff. Kind of like how I feel when I eat fast food or cheap pizza.
I can start the day with the hemp powder or have it after a workout and I feel great.

I'm not sure it's a quality thing.
I think when I was constantly taking protein, I didn't notice it as much, but when I stopped and only had it once in a while I really felt it. Kind of like when I drastically cut down on fast food, it makes me feel terrible now when I do have it. I get the same feeling from protein bars.

Testing the new coffee maker with some locally roasted and freshly ground Columbian... not a bad cup although a little more acidic than what I expected.
Will have to grind some black and tan for the morning.

Not a huge Rasputin fan. I'm partial to Left Hand, Deschutes Black Butte, Mikkeller Beer Geek Breakfast, Founder's Breakfast (or Kentucky Breakfast, or Canadian Breakfast)... There are more, but they're extremely hard to find.

It all depends on a lot of factors: mood, weather, season, holiday, and/or special occasion. Now that winter has set in a nice local porter from the UP (MI) is Widowmaker. Creamy, smooth and on tap here. On the harder side: Irish coffee (Jamie only please!) with a nice Jamaican coffee and real whipped cream; hot buttered rum. If we're talking neat Red Breast (you non-Scot Scotch drinkers have nothing over us Irish!)
But if I were down South with the snow birds, or the weather were warmer, my tastes would be different. S&T (Sapphire & tonic - and not that tonic out of a gun!) or Mojitos. Really good tequilla? Neat please.
On any given Sunday (or brunch day) Bloody Marias. Have my own recipe and haven't had a single complaint yet. Write if you want it.
My preferred before dinner drink anytime of year is a VSOP Brandy Manhattan. Not too sweet!

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
A little something I call Kentucky Fusion Lemonade... a few fingers of Jim Beam White label, ice, and some San Pellegrino Limonata.
We were one of the hottest places in North America today so it seems just right.

With that being said, you really can't go wrong with Jim Beam... the 4 year old likes a little ice and time on it's own and the Limonata is an exceptionally tart lemonade that will make you pucker up and has no carbonation which mixes really well with a younger bourbon and makes for a really refreshing cocktail.
I can see this as being something I will really enjoy on hot summer days as I usually prefer my whiskey neat, especially in the depths of winter.

Back and forth between White Hawk IPA and Spaten Optimator. White Hawk is one of my new favorites.
