Need help indentifying vintage road bike

I found a vintage road bike in a barn. It is a 26" ten speed with drop handle bars. It is a nice rider in pretty good shape all I needed were two new tires and a clean up to ride. The only name on the frame is Araya on one side. It has a Shimano Eagle rear derailleur, Shimano Thunder Bird GTO front derailleur, Shimano stem shifter and brake handles. There is no serial number to be found on the frame. I am sure the seat is not original and I added the bottle holder. Wheels are also mismatched, front wheel is marked UKAIRIM26X1 3/8WO made in Japan, Rear is marked M.O MFG. CO. Everything works well. Can anyone help identify this bike? Sorry I can't upload pictures new to the forum.

It takes 10 posts before you can upload pics. You can go to Introductions, introduce yourself and respond a few times. You'll hit 10 no time. The rule is a bit of a pain but it does deal with spammers pretty well. You've done a lot of the hard work in identifying the bike since you know the components and the manufacturer. A little bit of googling will get you some info on Araya bikes.

I tried Google before joining. The only thing I found there was that Araya made good wheels in the past.

Sounds like a low-end department store type bike, based on the description of 26" wheel, low end Shimano parts and stem shifters.

I think the Araya decal is a red herring placed by the original owner. This is a department store level bicycle based on the 26" x 1-3/8" steel rims, one piece steel crankset, stem shifters, safety levers and welded frame with stamped and crimped dropouts. Looks like a USA brand. Negligible value.

The M.O. marking is a reference to Murray of Ohio.
