suspension fork
Hi
I want to equip my bike with a suspension fork, I have thought of a Suntor, but I got lost in the different models.
I look for a model that meets these options:
• City and tour biking
• Mann 88 kg.
• 1 1/8”
• High quality/comfort
• Less maintains
• 700C
• Cantilever mounting
• Low riders mounting
• No cable for locking or adjusting
• Hole for mudguard
• (Black)
• Less than 500 €/$
Do any have a suggestion?
Regards Ebbe

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
What kind of bike are you equipping ?
For city riding and touring you will want a lockout and you probably don't need a high travel fork unless you are doing fifteen foot drops on tour.

I am actually swapping out my suspension fork for a rigid one. I did one tour on it, and could barely hold the wheel steady with the front rack loaded up with gear. The whole front end would shake from side to side, fairly violently. I couldn't keep my handlebars steady. Locking the fork out fixed the problem, but effectively cancelled out any suspending properties the fork was intended to exhibit. Maybe my case was a freak occurrence, so I'm not trying to dissuade you by any means. Just wanted to give you a heads up on what to possibly expect. Definitely get a fork with a lockout mechanism if you intend to load up the front. Another option would be to look into suspension stems. I have no experience with them, and can't give you any pros and cons.

There will be a geometry change as you fit a longer fork in place of a shorter one.
+ retail margins and VAT charges for just the fork, ie the fork itself at $4~500
make buying a whole new bike fitted out to better suit you current physical needs
a more reasonable choice.
Here you choose from a component and frameset choice list.

Ebbe, Because you want a dual purpose bike, city (commuting?) and touring you'll need to find a fork that has adjustable preload and dampening or you're going to have to compromise between the two to keep some shock dampening. A suspension stem would be what I'd choose also as weight on the front wouldn't effect it.

get a good coil sprung fork, maybe marzocchi, and add the stiffest springs you can get.
for carrying a load, get a Tubus swing rack , which will keep the front load suspended.

Another option: the suspension is within the Hub .. 1" of travel ..https://www.pantourhub.com/
