100lbs lost.

Well, almost. I started at 305lbs May 1st, 2011. I'm now at 206.2lbs. I still don't feel any different. Sometimes, when I see my reflection, I'm shocked it's me.

About a week or so ago, I was talking to a guy and he tried saying walking is more efficient for weight loss than cycling. O_o Really?! RIGHTTTTTT.

It's about time for me to get a real road bike, too. I'm thinking of a Diamondback Podium.

Anyway, here are my pics:

305 lbs

Currently 206lbs

I'm getting excited. But even though I'm basically at a huge milestone I realize how much more I have to go. That's what I'm getting super excited for.

...but you've proved beyond measure how well it's working! Onwards and... um... downwards!

You get my drift!

Congrats!!!! I well remember the point where my wife had lost 100 pounds. I know how excited she was, and determined to continue. I can barely imagine how you must feel!

Great job! What kind of bike are you riding? You need to post a picture of your bike too.

I lost all the weight I needed to lose and have been "normal" weight for a few months now. I still get those feelings, especially when I see my reflection in the mirror. A few days ago I had headed north and it was kind of chilly. I crossed my arms below my chest to keep warm as I walked. I felt my ribs. It was a surprise. Ribs? What are those? Yet I am still the same old me and when I am on the couch with the computer on my lap and the dog at my feet (a favorite position when I was fat) I will feel exactly the same as I did when I was fat.

Oh, I love the gray top!

Congrats, Molly. You look great.
I gained a lot the past 2 years and hope riding will help shed them.

Hope is not a strategy.

Just saying.

I became lazy while recovering from major surgery & never got back to my old activity level. Too much beer too.

Andy, I wish you the best of luck in picking your activity level back up.

It's scary because they say most people that lose 100lbs or more gain it back within 5 years, and I'm about to hit that mark. You rarely hear statistics about weight loss maintainence with smaller amounts.

I will continue to work my butt off to not become apart of that statistic.

Great job Molly
It's scary because they say most people
don't be one of those, hold the course.

You can do much to improve your odds. One of the best things to do is to be an exerciser. So, you already have that going for you!

Excellent progress. Keep up the good work. I have been working at it as well. As of last weeks weigh in I was down 81 pounds. I weigh in again tomorrow, hoping to be a few closer to that 100 pound mark. I've talked myself into buying a new entry level road bike at 100, so starting to get excited myself. Going to start test riding bikes in the next couple weeks.

Looking good. As to the guy who said walking is better for weight loss than biking. Mile per mile he is correct. We just do more miles, and have more fum.

Great job!! Your confidence just radiates from you. I can see the determination in your eyes. I was a big (literally) walker before bicycling and until you're in good enough shape to ride it's great...
