Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I'll admit, though, that I've only had my current (Surly) setup up to 42mph or so(*). Even my BMC tops out at 50x11, and I've only had that one up to 47mph (*). I'm not really sure I'll ever spin fast enough to need the 53. I'm a LOT more certain I'll need the 39x32, though. I'm hoping to have everything setup in time for Cranksgiving, I think the Yak is really a must for that sort thing.

Replaces the quick release nut thing on the skewer.

I'm also going to see if it is an effective mount for a light on the front wheel.

replacing my single speed 29er with a 1x10 build. Nervous about future drivetrain issues as I typically crash on the drivetrain side like buttered toast, but happy about a net 3lb loss even after adding gears

Craft "Active Extreme 2.0" base layer with wind stop fabric on the front. I'm susceptible to bronchitis need to keep cold air off the chest. Merlin has them for 50% less than I can find on any US site.

I'm 100% down for the botanical but still on the fence about the crux. Probably just going to grab the jersey but I need matchy matchy tho
