Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Aww thanks guys. Wasn't kidding about trying to find the botecchia a forever home- she's an odd beast who needs someone who understands.

Bottecchia gallery for more neon flair- https://imgur.com/a/DGEPs#0

While i was taking pics, i Dug the other Italian out. At least this one fits me. I'm not sure what the marque was on it- it was made in Maine by aegis, but it could have been branded as anything from a basso to a trek.

^To me that looks like a more modern frame set with vintage wheels, stem, bars and saddle. Very strange. I like the cleanness of the frame but looks like a hodgepodge of parts put together. Definitely not hot, sorry

Period correct with a complete matching Campagnolo group. I understand it may not be everyone's taste, but I can't comprehend hodgepodge. The frame, seatpost, crankset, water bottle, brakes and brake levers all share the same design cues from the 80's aero phase.

Sorry for bad photo, make saddle look angled down. It is really level. B'Twin triban 3. Cost me in total just under £500 to get it like this so I'm pretty happy!

Or to quote Shakespeare.

I am an Aluminium Bike. Hath not this bike wheels? Hath not this bike tires,
cable, tubes, gears, bolts, spokes; cycled with the same
legs, broken with the same crashes, subject to the same mechanical issues,
heal'd by the same tool, warm'd and cool'd by the same winter
and summer, as a Carbon road bike is? If you cycle us, do we not move? If
you drop us, do we not break? If you fix us, do we not work?
And if you care for us, do we not function? If we are like you in the
rest, we will resemble you in that.

this should be in the 'what road bike do you have' thread because this one isn't called as previously mentioned 'hot or STOCK'

Sorry I don't understand this unwritten rule. The started post said ""Post a pic of your bike and then let folks reply with quote of hot...r not. Simple eh?" I posted a pic of my bike.
