Just saw this and yes, that'd probably work - last night I did almost the same, put a hose clamp around the ring and turned that with a spanner. Was a doddle, now I can rebuild the wheel with a hub that I can sell with confidence.

In need of a few slightly random things:

-Raleigh 26 TPI headset
-Sunshine quick release skewers
-Suntour chromed derailleur hanger
-114mm ISO taper spindle
-Step down ferrule or cable adjuster (for one of those brazed on Raleigh cable stops.. I'm sure y'all are familiar)

Maillard/Normandy/Atom qr axle or cones

Rear, 10mm x 1.

Have lots of old bit of stuff for trade, let me know if there's something you for some reason didn't post here about (recently).

And I'm after more than one set if they're out there.

Rigida chrome steel rims - don't want 'em, will trade for...

I have three 27" Rigida chrome rims, quite nice condition for the nasty things they are.

Does anyone want these? Free, I'll pay some/all shipping if you have any of:

Triomphe left crank 170
Maillard/Normandy/Atom rear qr axle or cones (I know I just said that)
Roto front mech
Victory/triomphe pedal cap
small keyed bolt to fit Magistroni seat clamp (7mm)
that little cupped washer that fits between a Campy Sport top knuckle and the mount

Mine don’t have a size indication, but here’s a picture:

The other set appears longer. I have no use for these - I only use flats or clipless. They were on a small bike, so may not be big enough. If you think they will, PM.

@Miele Man @mountain dave

Not undercutting the sale but I might have a set of those pedals you can have for say lunch sometime? Might be easier because I live in Fenwick so with you in Hamilton there'd be minimal issues with pick up and no border...........

Tektro fork-mounted cable hanger?

Not specifically C&V, but wondering if anyone has one of these black Tektro fork-mounted housing stops for cantilever brakes:

For some reason, every shop I've contacted in the US is out of stock with no date for resupply, and I need one to finish a touring bike build I'm working on.

https://www.modernbike.com/origin-8-...e-cable-hanger

Modern Bike sold me a silver origin8 hanger late last year. Black is still in stock. The biggest differences are the face- saving finger to catch the straddle cable, and a slot in the stop.

Shipping costs may suck.

Look for a decent 26" wheeler for a drop bar conversion. No disc brakes. 7 or 8 speed would work. I am located in Rochester, NY if locality benefits anyone.

Have to trade-
Tri color hubs laced to mismatched but close rims. One Araya, one FiR. 8 speed.

Lightly used Suntour Cyclone M-ii front/rear/shifters

Campy Victory crankset with 4 chain rings. 40/42/52/53. 2 of them have been drillium'ed but I forget which off hand.

Thanks.

Hopefully helpful FYI, your locality in your profile still says Philadelphia.

Bump. Seriously, no one has of these? Not even Neal Lerner has one?

These are truly desperate times.

I'd be happy to trade one for the other, although my guess is that anyone who has a 5600 is more likely to want to get rid of it altogether, perhaps in exchange for something more, shall we say, refined? I also have a pretty good assortment of other Suntour road RDs from the late 70s/early 80s, if that appeals to anyone as a possible trade element.
Oops--this is the thread I meant to bump. There must be tons of these out there, right? Although they are so heavy that might not actually be all that many, numerically. C'mon, Neal! Dig deep!
