Installing double strap on MKS GR-9 pedals

How can I get a double strap on those pedals without having it move too much?
The pedal seems to be designed for only a single strap. It only has one hole on the bottom to feed the strap thru.

Use longer bolts to hold the clip to the pedal which will also secure the second strap. Like this:

That's not my pedal, but a pic I found using Google. I have All-City 4x clips and double straps on my GR-9s, rigged in a similar fashion.

You can also cross the two straps in the back through the hole in the center like people do with RX-1s.

This.

Do what I recommended. You'll be fine.

I was taught to twist the straps so it won't slip and make sure to twist it twice.

Also, you could try this method of double strapping.

Ugggghhh it took me a million years of not figuring that out, I was too embarrassed to ask you guys at Retrogression how to do it (where I bought them), and then it gets explained in one photo. So so so dumb. At one point, I tried to use duct tape. So glad my real name isn't attached to this admission of stupidity.

Anyway, thanks for posting this.

Is double straps a huge improvement? I'm running clipless right now for two reasons....they just feel so much more secure and the single straps would put a lot of pressure on one area of my shoe and I had a nice hole developing (in thick suede shoes) within a few weeks of riding.

Are double straps easier on shoes and give me near clipless tightness if I cinch them down tight enough?

nope. clipless > double straps > single straps. never used power straps or something like holdfast straps because once I made the jump to clipless why would one go backwards? But I've heard that those are comparable to double straps. The thing is you can't really "cinch them down" super tight while riding because you need to be able to slide your feet in & out. so you'll never have the "connectivity" that you get from clipless. the idea of people riding brakeless with only clips and straps scares me, but i've been riding clipless for the 1.5 years.

tl:dr stick with clipless, its the best option especially if your already using them.
