Nice bike duderdude, gotta agree the shifting on the Apex is awesome, the rear cassette is great too with the 11-28 cogs. Overall is not the most expensive bike but it rides awesome, plus im a beginner so i need gain lots of experience before i could switch anything on this ride.

Thanks guys, It rides great. I really like the fit and feel over all. I've gone 200 miles on it so far. I can't say enough great things about this bike. I was looking at a few others and when they showed me how the SRAM shifted it was over. I got the hoods from ebay they came with Red bar tape. I figured i would put on the red tape once my stock black tape is done and then replace the hoods with the black covers. I also went ahead and got two red specialized bottle cages. I wanted a little more red on the bike.

Even the Souls would look incredible on your bike.

Yeah, I'd agree that the Allez overall are fantastic starter bikes. I love mine, thought it is 5 years old already. Your bike is begging for new wheels. That was the one thing I disliked about the bike stock was my wheels.
Even the Souls would look incredible on your bike.

My new blue babe
Jamis Xenith Endura.jpg
She hasn't had her christening on the road yet, but she knows my sweat on the trainer. The SRAM Apex is an interesting one, and I think I like it!

That's a pretty cool ride. I think some of the Schwinn road bikes are a little underrated. Granted they are not as high end as a lot of these bikes in the thread, but it is all in what gets us on the road. Here is one of my Schwinns. It's a Fastback Comp.
