Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Those are my bikes.

First off, the Guch is all steel.

Secondly, risers are for comfort for riding longer distances. Drops get put on for races, short distances, and the track. Have you ever ridden a kilo/pursuit frame a long distance on drops? Not very comfortable.

Thirdly, the wheelsmith that built the wheels for the Colnago, then handed it to an amateur to put on tubes/tires. They have since been aligned. Aligning label and valve do help identifying problem spots in the tire when you get a flat.

And lastly, I have 2 other bikes. A Samson and an Indy Fab Skyway BMX replica.

That yamaguchi looks like a fat chick, and her fork looks like an idiot. The colnago on the other hand...throw in a cinelli 2a and 67-39s and she can have my baby.

Lots of people say forked seatstays flex a lot more than traditional of fastback ones. Makes sense, if you think about it.
