Reignited user, coming back in.
Been awhile since I last posted on here. I used to live in SoCal, but now live in eastern NM. I ride a mixture of recumbent trike's and regular uprights.
Not much of a speed racer. I typically commute and usually go to more "cruiser friendly" rides. A decade ago, it was the controversial, Midnight Ridazz rides in the LA area. Nowadays, it's day long road trips on off-days to either Austin or Boulder for their Thursday night chill rides.
Yeah and I kind of got bit by the "E" bug after a co-worker let me borrow his Bafang equipped folder back in 2016 after criticizing it, so there's that.
Other than that, glad to be back on here.

Welcome. I'm also both an upright rider and a trike rider.
Friendly advice, don't bypass the censor!

Hello,
im getting back into cycling after a 25 year break. I’m currently getting my old bikes back into shape as well as me getting back in shape. I’m in the Springfield, Mo area now.
Back in the day I was pretty serious about cycling. I worked weekends at a bike shop in Joplin just for fun. I actually commuted to Joplin from Miami, ok which was a 35 mile ride each way. Like I said the job was just for fun and it was a great ice breaker when talking to customers if they asked if i would recommend a Cannondale. The reaction when I told them that I commuted 35 miles on mine got some interesting reactions.
I’ve done the Hotter than Hell twice, Freewheel across Oklahoma twice and so many MS rides and other such rides I can’t count.
I don’t expect I will be getting into that kind of shape again at 62, but, so far I have enjoyed getting a start. It will be a slow start as I’m trying to work through a knee injury and other medical issues so it is short low intensity rides as I can Manage when my body will let me. But, even with the pain I really loved feeling the wind in my face the first time back on the bike. I’m riding my dad’s Diamond Back Venture that I inherited in 2012. He was my main riding buddy back then so I have a lot to live up to. He was doing centuries at 59 and fighting diabetes so I can do it to.
