I really miss Pricepoint and Supergo, but whatchta gonna do? I figure there's till gotta be a few operations out there, that I'm not familiar with.
I'm particularly interested in mtn or hybrid type frames, for 29" wheels.
Any good info much appreciated.....

(edit: by "budget", I mean more like "sale/closeout" stuff, not cheap, no-name stuff.)

update: Thanks for the replies, guys. I just grabbed a pretty nice Marin frame from Random Bike Parts, for around $130 delivered. I'm thinking it's gonna do great !

A few years ago I got a decent aluminum road frame from Nashbar on sale for $99. It actually built into a pretty nice bike. Before their re-orgznization, they sold both mtn and road frames. You might check them out.

Randombikeparts has some decent 700c hybrids, occasionally really nice MTB and road frames, but they come and go quick.

I'll state the obvious and say Ebay. If you know what you want and are patient, you can find some really good deals on Ebay. Lots of people have very nice, hardly used bikes sitting in their basement, apparently.
