Keo Classics on Ebay?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Keo Classics on Ebay?

I've been shopping for a set of Look Keo Classics and from what I've seen in the shops and on regular internet bike shop sites is a price range bwetween 80.00 to 100.00. These prices generally also have tax to consider and online...a shipping charge. When browsing Ebay, I've seen several 09 sets including cleats for around 75.00 with free shipping and no sales tax. Am I missing something? Seems Ebay has a better deal in this case.

It might end up costing $20 more because the cleats that come with the keo classics are the grip style that are very hard to clip into. In fact, I was ready to return the pedals and cleats to my LBS when they suggested I purchase the non grip bimaterial cleats. I've been happy ever since. Oh yes, I also purchased the cleat covers as well.

So what was supposed to be an inexpensive pedal set turned into a more costly proposition.

From my experience unless buying used it's hard to find a deal on ebay when shipping is include compared to PBK and my local LBS has matched all ebay price.

There listed as $57 regular price at PBK.

PBK???

$72.44 and not in stock (as usual)

The fascination with PBK escapes me.

Sorry was looking at the Easy pedal. I find PBK usually has the best prices for items that you need to replace often like bar tape and tires and I always keep spares around so stock is not an issue. I've also ordered from a few other sites that listed items as in stock and they actually were not. At least PBK is honest that way.

Got my Classics from Ebay about...2 years ago? I think I paid $60.

Take a look at the Keo Carbons though. I sort of wish I'd spent the extra money back then. I may upgrade soon if I start racing again.

In the old days, they actually had product in stock. I've given up on them.
