The usual small maintenance things, like cleaning the bike and lubing the chain. That, and I finally installed a bell! Sure enough, the commute this morning was totally uneventful and stress-free, whereas usually I found myself wishing I had a bell at least once per commute.

I added some carbon fiber vinyl wrap on my bike to hide some small scratches. Turned out surprising well and looks like my bike came that way from the factory. Much happier to see carbon vs scratches.

Upgraded the taillight. The 12 year old unit has been repurposed within the household bike fleet.

After putting on ~500kms on my Indie I decided to put a toothbrush to the drivetrain/components including the SPD pedals. The chain got lubed with WD-40 dry-lube and the pedal springs with some synthetic.

I just got back from my 25km ride and very pleased with my efforts. Shifts are crisper, chain is smooth (and almost silent) and clipping in/out of the pedals is effortless. I'm kinda glad it rained yesterday....providing me the downtime for some maintenance.

I scored a great C/L deal on a virtually unused set of older Mavic MA3 rims laced with Shimano 105 Hubs (with skewers) including an Ultegra 9 speed cassette. I was told they were switched out right after they bought their bike about 10 years ago. I transferred my Continental 4000s II tires from the stock wheels and everything is working fantastic. The cassette and wheels look brand new.

An excessive amount of friction that took almost all feel and modulation out of the rear brake lever turned out to be this outer being too long; the resulting curvature was causing the extra friction between cable and outer. I cut it down by a couple of centimeters to make it run as straight as possible (and applied a touch of grease to the noodle's nylon liner while I was at it) and it was all good.

I added new handlebars so I don't have to lean as much, new Ergon GP4 grips (Wow I really like this new grip setup) and new top tube cell phone holder.

Nice! What are the handlebars? They look like they have a good amount of rise and some backsweep to them.

Here are the handlebars I have on. I just ordered a second one to install to my brothers bike. Really like these bars along with the new grip setup. The handlebar is 20mm longer than the stock ones that came on my bike. https://www.amazon.com/UPANBIKE-Moun...gateway&sr=8-1

"Slammed" the stem on the 17.5" 7.6 to see how it feels. Slamming it got the bars down to about the same height as the 15" 7.6's bars unslammed. The bike's handling didn't change much - it's still more of a cruiser compared to the 15-incher's crisp reflexes, but it felt great to be able to ride a little more leaned forward, now that I've got a slightly smaller belly

Take the warning label off the fork. It also looks like you have the size sticker still on the seat tube. That should go too.

I've got a two-digit IQ if I take the frame size labels off, I'm afraid of no longer being able to tell which bike is which size

And those carbon forks aren't staying on the bikes for much longer. The dealer said they are ordering me my second alloy fork (the same one that came on 7.3 FX's from 2012 to 2016; I've already got one that's ready to go onto the 15" after I come around to ordering the right crown race.) If the dealer drags their feet on this for too long, I might just go ahead and order a Montano fork and call it a day. See? Two-digit IQ

Swapped 28mm Schwalbe Marathons to 35mm Panaracer Gravelking SK...... love it. Very smooth and easier on the arse.
Swapped platform pedals back to SPD for winter / fall commuting (I commute in sandals summer time), and brought out Giro VR shoes once again.

Just took a quick ride up to the George Washington Bridge to test the new tires. Conti 4 Season (700 x 28)........really like the feel of these so far.

Put some new Continental Ride Tours on my Specialized Crosstrail. Just wanted something different than the stock tires (nothing wrong with them) but just wanted different. I use to ride Continental tires on my Schwinn Homegrown back in the day and never had any issues so decided to go with Continentals once again. So far I have about 20 miles on them and really like how they feel overall and bang for the dollar was hard to beat.

Replaced the chain and cassette, and in doing so upgraded to 3x9 speed setup, since I had purchased a set of new Deore 3x9 shifters a while ago. Replaced the cables and housings too, so I'm looking forward to nice and smooth shifting. Also rewrapped my bar-ends with handlebar tape while at it.

I rode my Roll around the neighborhood trying to find a neighbor's lost cat. I was naturally going really slow and was surprised at how stable it felt when hardly moving. It must be the ultimate cat-hunting machine!
I will probably keep looking for the cat during the weekend. Sure would like to find the little critter.
