Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

All very interesting guesses, however, I must mention that I've spent zero additional $$$ on this project, so they can be ruled out. I made some minor adjustments and took additional photos today, but will not be able to upload them until this Wednesday.

My $100 walmart fixie. bought it as a stop gap to ride until my bike got shipped to me in Alaska (just moved from AZ) but I'm finding i rather like this thing (or at least the style of it)

looking at your rides though... I want better components. maybe a better frame.

^ leave that thing as is, and don't spend a dime on it. If you want another bike, build up a different frame with different components.

SS, running 50/16. Its pretty flat on my commutes, only a few short sharp sections where i have to mash it out for a bit.

Clean! Some black tires would bring it to full stealth mode status though!

It had crossed my mind, I fell in love with the gumwalls breaking it up a little though. Even though everyone knows you go faster when you're all in black.
