Not seeing much use for a bike, although the bottle opened would be appreciated by some.

I suspect it is one of those things that does a lot of things but nothing well, but as you say not a lot invested.

There's a lot of wisdom in knowing what you need to carry around with you. This doesn't make my list.

Well, pretty much every fastener on modern bikes needs a hex to adjust, so this is really not a good answer for bicycle use.

You'd likely do more harm than good with that thing.

As noted it's pretty useless as a bike tool and the sharp top edge will get it confiscated by TSA if you forget and try to take it through an airport.

You'll note that is said "a must for every camper or backpacker" though I have no idea what a backpack would ever use it for. OTOH- if the seller thought it had any use for bicycles, he would have said so, since bicyclists can be counted to buy just about any tool.

Simple rule for tool buying. If you don't know in advance when and how you'll use a tool or gadget, odds are you won't find a use for it afterward.

What is the hole in the lower left and the jagged, key-like hold near it for?

Probably key ring, and the other is a 2 size wrench similar to the multiple one above it.

Oops, I am all jacked up - I meant the hole on the lower right, with the notches.

Good call on the key-like thing being a wrench, though.

Neat tool, maybe I'd get one for kicks, but I don't think it would be very useful.

Been watching too many British cycling videos?

Based on the markings, I believe that's intended to be a protractor of some kind.

Nah, don't watch any cycling vids - what's the joke?

Weird protractor. Not sure what'd it would be useful for.

By the by, did you get any of my PM's?

I only said it was a protractor, I didn't say it was a good or useful one.

Proves that people will buy anything if it's cheap enough (sorry, couldn't resist)

Oh ok. And yeah, I fall victim to the "only a buck" trap on occasion. Sent you a PM re: brake bolts a little while ago, making sure I wasn't jacking something up.
