Steel Is Real-Milwaukee cancelled?
Anybody know why the 2019 Milwaukee Steel Is Real event has been cancelled?

That is the way I'm seeing it on FB from Lisa who has been running it the last couple years.
Why, I'm not sure

Does it have anything to do with that dude getting mugged for his bike during the Riverwest ride? (extraordinarily unlikely)

Maybe this event would do better if it was scheduled around the time when the bike races (Is it still called the Milwaukee Sentinel Classic?), Bastille Day and Summerfest events are held, so there would be more general enthusiasm for it?

But typically there is always a festival in Milwaukee. Saw Johnny Rotten picking up mozzarella sticks once at Summerfest. Great place on a great lake.

+1 on Milwaukee.
Visited the state fair last weekend. Enjoyed what was described as a "deep fried Old Fashioned".
It did not dissappoint - still working it off...

Always got the giant creampuffs and the pulled barbecued pork sandwiches when we went to the State Fair near Brewer Stadium.
Still can't forget watching Linda Ronstadt live at Summerfest in the 80's. Just totally magical, especially with the lake and sailboats as a background!
And it only cost me the general entry fee to watch such great venues at Summerfest back then.
