Katy Trail - Camping in Clinton, MO.?

I'm looking for a good place to tent camp in Clinton, MO. close to the Katy Trail. I thought that you could camp at the fair grounds. Does anyone know? Thanks.

Mark

When we did the Katy last October we started in Clinton, and stayed at the fairgrounds (right behind the community center, right?). We just asked the dudes in the Community Center and they said it was cool if we set up our tent in the fenced in area out back.

Also, I have no connection to this guy, but I would HIGHLY recommend this book... it helped us out a lot on our trip:

Ok thanks Tony. After searching a little more at Crazyguy I found the same info about the Henry Co. Fair Grounds and the Community Center has showers if you get there when they are open. I have that book and it does have a lot of info. Thanks for your reply.

The community center is open fairly late and RIDICULOUSLY early, so you should be good on the shower front... their showers were nice, too...
