1976 Strawberry Racing Cycle
Mark DiNucci built with Prugnet lugs , Campagnolo components,Campy high flange 36H hubs , Avocet saddle and post set ,Cinelli stem and bars, Campnolo dropouts ,according to Andy @ SRC this was the 28th one built in 76 , and all the Campy is true to the build , I also exchanged emails with Mark in varifying the frame and paint , I did have to re-decal it but other than that it is a original build from the SRC shop in Portland, Oregon , also thanks to some members on here as well.

Awesome bike. Thanks for sharing. Is this a recent restoration? It's not clear (at least to me) if it's new decals on old paint or new paint & decals. Either way, really classy & beautiful! I would love to see some more close ups, especially around the lugs, seat cluster, and dropouts. DiNucci is truly a master.

Thanks guys , it is old paint cleaned up and waxed with repop decals from Gary @ SSSink.com , heres a better picture of the BB lug work, Mark(far left sitting on his SRC toptube) told me his was the same color back in his racing days.

Really nice!
Mid to late '70's bikes hit all my "like" buttons, the angles, proportions, and the paint, thin and a little dull (in comparison to modern super finishes) with top mounted decals.

Very cool bike; I'm particularly jealous of the yellow campy covers for the shifters, 
. I have a pair in grey that I use on a pair of skewers but the yellow on this bike is very sharp.

That is a very handsome bike.
I had considered one way back, bought a Masi and a Harry Quinn as my two racing bikes.
Two bikes at the time was luxurious so I could not justify another.
I like this graphic package much more than the current offerings.

That's a great bike! Deep blue paint held up very well and with the redecal-ing, looks like stepped out of a time machine.
Fine craftsmanship! One of the nicest examples of a racer from the mid to late 70s.

Back in 1982 I happened upon John Karras' Strawberry hanging-up in Micheal's Cyclery in Ames IA. It was calling my name so swapped one of my frames and probably a little cash. Never did heard why John got rid of it. It was a metallic lavender-ish finish with those beautiful super thin lugs. In those days of short seat posts I rode a 63cm frame and this very large frame with a short top-tube which fit me perfectly. In 1984 or 85 during my time at Trek we updated the frame all the braze-ons of the day and painted it a hideous fade red/white/blue finish. We figured the frame was 531 which rode wonderfully. After we moved to the east coast I sold the bike to a fellow I met at the T-town bicycle flea market. Never saw the bike again and regret selling it to this day.

Is that the same "Strawberry" that sold components ? I used to buy intetesting stuff from them. They had some nice French tubulars.

Thanks for the comments ! Heres a few more with the seat lug, the bike is no show piece and it does have a few battle srapes and nicks ,but thats ok it is a rider and it's pretty snappy and quick , you can feel that the bike was meant to be raced

I wish I did, that was still in the days before digital so I didn't take many pictures of my bikes. I had the Strawberry, an early 80's Ciocc with tons of panagraph, a mid 80's Repo Corsa Bianchi, and a late 70's early 80's Alan. No pictures of any of them.

SSSink.com are the only place to have the early 70's to late 70's available , Strawberry still offers the newer style (1980 & up )on their site, at SSSink I talked to Gary directly from the contact number listed, the decals worked well just be sure to prepare area with 1000-2000 grit, rub the new decals on ( with quite abit of pressure) I then hazed a few coats of clear over them , then polished . These decals must be cleared , Gary was great , no problems , good luck and let me know if you have any questions !

Pic of Headtube lugs and decal , at first i did not think it originally had a headtube decal(the decal sheet from SSSINK did not include one) i could not find any front pics of a 70's SRC bike ,but when I saw this decal on the SRC site I thought it would dress up the front end alittle, a few days after I applied it I noticed the bike Mark was sitting on ,( picture above) appears to have the same one ! ......cRaZy
