My picture but not me nor my bicycle in front of an interesting South Texas landmark

Next Mission is an Airstream Trailer

Brian C. accepted the entry I submitted.

I would like to see your bicycle in a picture of an Airstream trailer, not otherwise specified. It can be old, new, polished, oxidized, in the junkyard, at the dealer, on blocks, in a museum, an RV park or a driveway or even, if you are quick enough and have high ISO film (remember that stuff?) whizzing down the interstate at 80 mph...

Winnebagos, on the other hand, are strictly prohibited since they are way the heck on the other end of the alphabet.

Ride safely, flangehead.

Next mission: Bank time and temperature display showing time from midnight to 1:00am.
Modified to add: Other businesses will be acceptable...as long as it's outdoors/roadside, and the time displayed requirement is correct.

I know for certain there are some 2nd and 3rd shift bike commuters in these forums. If nothing after a couple days...I'll fulfill it myself. I ride at night from time to time (although not quite that late). We'll see.

Talking about making it challenging. LOL. Night Owls unite.

FWIW, in the winter my daily ride is between 9-11pm. In the summer if my wife goes we go after work. So more like 6pm.

I'm up at 12-1am, but not usually riding by a bank. LOL.

Does it have to be a bank, or time/temp display on other corporate buildings counts too, as long the time is right?

Yeah, I guess other businesses will be acceptable...as long as it's outdoors/roadside, and the time displayed requirement is correct.

Well, I went out last night, belive it or not, but I live in the city now and none of these banks--at least not the ones I rode by--have those signs anymore. I think here anyway, it's more the suburban, older, 1-story-with-attached-parking-lot-and-drive-thru-kinda-banks that still might occasionally have one of those signs. Oh well, I tried.

Yeah, around here our local banks that still have the old time/temp clocks got purchased by non-local banks so the displays have gone blank.

Schools too are back to the futured, permanently right twice a day.

Lots of Churches still have operational-ish clocks though. And “sidewalk” clocks are usually working.

Me too. I took pretty much a maximum long way to work this morning trying to find a time sign. Around here at least, they've gone the way of phone booths, rotary phones and the time/temperature hot line.

Remember that? You called a number, got an ad and the current time and temperature. Ol' Ma Bell had lotsa ways to get cash.

I know one of those bank time signs is still in existence in Giddings, Texas. The problem for me is that it's nearly 100 miles away. I only see it when driving through by car.

Some car washes in our area have time and temp marquee. Closest one for me is 16 or seventeen miles...... Not gonna do it....

Tried to snap a pic last night, but hadn't much success. Thing is, the display is on the roof of the building and is very bright so it can been read from distance, and the glare in nighttime pictures makes it unreadable. This is the best I could do (it does say 1:00, although you can't see that in the pic). Seeing that the time is unreadable, and it is already 1:00 am (it was said between midnight and 1 am), and the building is a cell phone operator HQ, not a bank, I'm not sure this qualifies.
On the plus side, there are two bikes in the picture, and both were ridden by me alone, at the same time

I haven't seen anyone pony ride a second bike in a while. What's the story there?

I left my bike at the pub after having a few too many to ride home, and then used the backup bike to get it

The time is "readable" - it's consistent with the clock reading 1:00. Not as good a picture of a black hole, but....

I used to pony ride bikes on city streets when I was much younger. I don't think I'd trust my old man reflexes to do that now.
