Arvigo - anyone??
This is located on the Maxsold website in Kingston Ontario. I can't add the link so if you want to see you will have to search the Maxsold site.
Never heard of these bikes before. It looks like a small frame and it's 4 hour drive so I'm not buying but it looks like a very nice clean bike and wondered if anyone has heard of these????
All ad says isMen's 12 Speed Racer Bicycle

While we'd need some close-ups for verification, the chromed head tube, stays and forks are reminiscent of the mid-1980s Raleigh Racing USA framesets with the 555SL tubesets. However, the subject bicycle appears to have an investment cast seat lug, which I do not recall on the Raleighs. Regardless, the Raleigh Racing USA livery appears to have been at least the inspiration for this frame.
Edit: The components appear entry level. The crankset looks like it's swaged. The derailleurs look like Shimnao Z or Light Action series, though it does appear to have an indexed shift lever based on the dark coloured bezel. The wheels are mismatched and the rear rim looks quite wide. There's the possibility of a good frameset but based on the components and current bid ($185 CDN), I wouldn't take a chance without being able to examine it in person.

Looks like it was a pretty nice mid level bike from the 80's. In it's current rough shape with mismatched rough looking wheels, flat tires, crusty looking cables and parts I would pass at the current asking bid. Lesser branded mid level bikes from the 80's seem to go for $200-250 in good ready to ride condition in most markets and this one would need close to that in parts and labor to get into good riding shape.

Thanks all. It was just that I had never heard of "Arvigo" before and sometimes there have been very good deals on this website. If it was a nice bike I would have posted on the Craigslist thread but it just hit $255!!
Ps in the new regime I can't seem to post the links to these sales...

Looks like it was store brand from RacerSportiff (decal on chainstay). Hope it helps someone in the future
