Today was almost like Christmas. I got 4 packages! First was just a small 21 oz camelbak waterbottle to fit in the bottle cage on my Trek Y-Foil. Not room there for my normal bottles.
Then I got the 24mm new seatpost I had ordered from Germany. This was going to be shimmed slightly to use with a NOS Vitus Argal frame. Right after I ordered this the right 24.3 mm seatpost was found. Still, this is a nice looking seatpost for a nice price.
Then I opened the new box containing a dang near mint set of Dura Ace 7400 series brifters. I'll probably be putting these on the Marten's built Ribble bike.
The finally box had a used but very nice looking Dura Ace 7700 groupset I found on another site for a price I couldn't pass up. Not sure what I'll put this on yet.
All and all a good day of packages.

Nishiki Ariel with elevated stays. The Stem will be almost half the cost of the complete bike, but there are not to many other ways to get a set of dirt drops up high enough, especialy with an 1 1/18 threaded fork.

Right? To those youngins out there. This is the last album The Monkees wrote and produced as a group. Some really great songs. I really like 'You and I'.
And though I do admit to wearing Mike's wool cap to school! Peter was my favorite as a kid, maybe because he was the dorky shy Monkee. And of course later they all were/are my favorite. Mike and Micky are still on the road! My Father took us kids to see them LIVE! What a great Dad!

This showed up at my door this morning. A really ugly but sound 1974 Raleigh Professional Mk IV, Surprisingly no dents or external pitting and no internal corrosion. For the moment the existing finish will be preserved and the result will be built as a ratty resto mod.

Today was a Dura Ace day. I got in the FD-7403 and BR-7403 parts that will be going on my Ribble bike. Guess I need to bite the bullet now and find a 7400 series crank and make it all Dura Ace....

A fellow on the 650B Google group was letting go of some first-generation 28h Pacenti SL23s for a price I couldn't resist:
You may ask what project I intend to use them on... and that would be a great question!
